Publicity Tips

Updated: Jun 25

Here are four tips to help you get publicity and bring awareness to your brand.

1. Post client testimonies/reviews:

People thrive on reviews. I always check the reviews of a place before I patronize it. Ask your customers or clients to leave you a review or provide a testimony. If your business is on Google, Facebook, and Yelp, have them leave the review directly on those platforms. If you have a website, share those reviews/testimonies there. You can also repurpose them into social media content.

2. Customer Stories:

What problem do you solve? You can do this by telling a client story. Think of a client story as a before and after. Do a short video or reel to show where the client was before they started working with you and where they are now. Make sure to get the client's permission.

3. Community work:

Does your business do a lot of work in the community? If so, talk about that. Tell your potential clients why this community project is near and dear to your business/organization. Let them know how the proceeds from your business go to fund this project or help with a cause.

4. Goals you have achieved:

Let people know how your business is doing. Let people know if you sold 15 items in a day when you usually only sell eight! Then tell them you have set a new record and are trying to sell 25 in a day. Update them on the progress through the day. Make your call to action (CTA) "to help me reach my goal; drop in today between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
